This snake was found in a customer’s home hiding under the dishwasher. The snake found its way inside during our 104 degree heat wave to get some much needed cool air. Unfortunately this snake is great at hiding in tight spaces. With our customers recommendation we removed the lower baseboard portion of her cabinets, only to have the snake vanish into a crack in the wall. Three days later the snake re-appeared, and was captured, only to be taken outside and released away from the homes.

The Striped Racer is considered an endangered species. That being said, the snake still lives in Porter Ranch, where it still has the opportunity to reproduce in years to come.

It is thought that the snake found its way into the house when the home owner opened the living room door and left it open while her kids played outside.

REMEMBER TO KEEP YOUR DOOR OR SCREEN DOOR CLOSED, IF YOU LIVE IN SNAKE INHABITED COUNTRY.
