These pictures are all of the same snake. This Southern Pacific Rattlesnake was found on Encinal Canyon, in Malibu, at the probation camp. This little snake was very unhappy to be found. It was one of the few that actually rattled for a minute once captured. I am unsure of the sex, but the weight was 250g and the length was 23 inches.
