The federal government is working on passing a federal law that
will ban the importation and exportation of Boas, Pythons, and
Anacondas across state lines throughout the
U.S.
This ban will prohibit anyone from possessing these snakes in the
U.S.
without having a permit. I agree permits should be given to anyone
owning a large snake. However the government will only grant permits
to scientific, medical, educational, or zoological institutes.
Permits will not be granted to responsible private party
individuals. This ban will devastate the pet trade and potentially
wipe out the reptile industry.
I am asking you to please send in a letter at the following link
to why these snakes should remain legal in the
U.S.
Whether you are for or against the ownership of Pythons, Boas, or
Anacondas, our government doesn’t need to take away our freedoms.
Please help keep this industry alive!
